What Is a Temporary Email Address?

A temporary — or disposable — email address is a short-lived inbox you can use in place of your real email whenever a website demands a registration, a download link, or a one-time confirmation code. Once you are done, the address simply expires and everything in it disappears. Your real inbox stays clean, and the site you signed up for has no way to reach you afterward.

• How long does the email address last?
  Each address is active for 15 minutes from the moment it is generated. The countdown timer at the top of the page shows exactly how much time remains. When the timer hits zero, the address expires and the inbox is no longer accessible. You can get a new address instantly with the ↻ New button.
• Can I extend the 15-minute timer?
  The current version does not support extending an existing address. If you need more time, generate a new address before the old one expires and use that for future signups. We may add optional extensions in a future update.
• Is this safe to use for important accounts?
  No. A temporary email address is intentionally short-lived and cannot be recovered after it expires. Do not use it as the email for any account you care about — banking, social media, services you rely on day to day. If you ever need to reset a password or receive a security code for that account, you will not be able to. Temp email is the right tool for one-time verifications and throwaway registrations only.
• Can anyone else read my emails?
  No. Each address is randomly generated and linked only to your browser session. The address is never displayed publicly and cannot be enumerated by other users. Your inbox is only visible on the device and browser tab where the address was created.
• What happens to my emails after the address expires?
  After the address expires, all associated messages are deleted from our servers. We do not archive or retain message content. The address itself cannot be reactivated, and no one — including us — can retrieve what was in the inbox after expiry.

A Note on Privacy

Your temporary email address and session are stored only in your browser's sessionStorage — a per-tab store that is cleared the moment you close the tab. We do not use cookies for session tracking, and your address is never associated with any persistent identifier on our end.
